Since 2006, designaustria has had its headquarters at designforum Wien – an exhibition and networking platform for designers and those interested in design at Vienna’s MuseumsQuartier. Through public relations work, knowledge transfer, and various events, designaustria seeks to get in touch with designers and businesses, promoting a broad awareness for design and pointing out its benefits for society as a whole and for the national economy.
Thanks to the foundation of designforum Vorarlberg (2008), designforum Steiermark (2010), and WEI SRAUM Designforum Tirol (2016), designforum Wien can rely on strong partners in the federal states. Joining forces, these institutions consistently pursue their programme, bringing design and the economy together and making their know-how available to a broad audience.
