The international competitive exhibition of original illustrations of children’s books Biennial of Illustrations Bratislava (BIB) is one of the most important events held under the auspices of UNESCO and The International Board on Books for Young people (IBBY), with support of the Ministry of Culture of the Slovak Republic. At the Biennial of Illustrations Bratislava, which is a key event of fine arts and illustration for children of world importance, the best illustrators meet every odd numbered year in the fall since 1967. In 2023, 275 illustrators from 36 countries took part with 2072 illustrations from 355 books. The Katalog is a record of outstanding skill in illustration from all over the world.
